Most of the lights in the house operate with a simple on/off toggle switch.

Some lights are operated with smart switches. They are very easy to use; just in case, we’ll go into details for each one

Pool and South Floodlights

  • The pool floodlight and the floodlight located on the SE corner can be controlled using the switch inside the pool closet

Main Bedroom and Bedroom 2 light/fan

  • Press the “Light” button: turn the light on or off.
  • Double-press the “Light” button to adjust brightness using the “+”/”-”
  • Press the “Fan” button: turn the fan on or off.
  • Double-press the “Fan” button to adjust speed using the “+”/”-”

Lanai, Dining and Living Room Lights and Fans

These fans are equipped with remote controls like the one shown in the picture. In order to be able to use the remote, the corresponding wall switch needs to be ON. When turning the switch ON you will hear a “Beep” and the light will turn ON, if you turn the switch OFF, both the light and fan will turn OFF and the remote will not be able to control the fan or the light.

Keep in mind the north and south fans in the lanai are controlled together and the switch can be turned ON and OFF from the kitchen (near the coffee maker), kitchen table, and bedroom 1.

Bedroom 3

Bedroom 3 light and fan is operated with a remote control like the one in the picture, it allows to adjust the light fan speed and rotation.

The wall switch must be ON to operate the remote.

When turning the wall switch ON (press up) you will hear a “Beep” and the light will turn ON, if you turn the switch OFF (press down), both the light and fan will turn OFF and the remote will not be able to control the fan or the light.

Automatic Lights

Some outdoor lights operate automatically based on sunset and time.

Every day at sunset the following lights will turn on automatically:

  • Front lights (garage and porch)
  • Garden Lights (Zen and Back)
  • Fence Light (around the pool)
  • Pool Light

They will turn off automatically at 10:00 PM

Every day at 5:00 AM the following lights will turn ON automatically:

  • Front lights (garage and porch)
  • Garden Lights (Back)
  • Fence Light (around the pool)

They will turn off automatically at sunrise

Fence Lights

You can control the light of the fence around the pool manually using the remote control.

The receiver for the remote is located at the northwest corner of the fence.
